Overview
eAudiobooks are digital books that can be downloaded onto a personal computer and transferred to a variety of portable listening devices (except iPods and Zunes - see NetLibrary's list of tested devices that are compatible).
Set up a free NetLibrary account at a Saline District Library computer. Once your account is set, you will be able to go to www.netlibrary.com to download eAudiobooks to listen to on your computer or transfer to your portable listening device. Check out up to 10 titles at a time for 3 weeks each.
eBooks are also available through NetLibrary. They are books that can be viewed on a computer in the library or elsewhere once you have a NetLibrary account.
Download Requirements
To download Recorded Books eAudiobooks from NetLibrary you must have:
-
A NetLibrary account created from a computer at Saline District Library.
-
A PC computer that runs Windows 2000 or Windows XP for downloading. (No downloads on library computers.)
-
An Internet connection. For CD quality downloads (necessary for transferring to a portable device) you will need a Broadband or DSL connection. For radio quality downloads (which can be run on a computer) you may use dial-up.

To play on a portable device you will need a portable music player, a Pocket PC, or other device that can play secure or protected WMA format files with a minimum bit rate of 32 Kbps. Please note that iPod and Zune don’t support this standard. See NetLibrary's list of tested devices.
