TEEN SUMMER READING: BENEATH THE SURFACE
Read and win when you sign up for teen summer reading! Prizes for your 1st, 6th, and 12th books and weekly prize drawings. June 16—August 9. 

Into the Woods: After Hours
Friday, June 21, 4:45-6:15 pm. Come decorate mini wooden doors to be installed along the Library/Brecon trail as part of our Community Art Installation. Use your imagination: Hobbits or woodland creatures? Your favorite book or musician? Dinner provided. Limit 20 participants. Registration required.

Egyptian Mummies
Wednesday, June 26, 3-4 pm. Learn all about mummies! Todd Gerring of the Kelsey Museum of Archaeology will bring amulets, canopic jars, brain hooks, and other artifacts to illustrate his talk. Graduates of grades 5 and up are welcome. Registration required.

Mustache Mayhem
Thursday, July 11, 3-4 pm. The mustache craze may have started off with fingerstaches, but now we know the fun of a clever mustache disguise. Come design a sunglasses/mustache duo and enjoy our photo booth of mystery! Registration required.

Movie Cool Down
Tuesday, July 16, 1-3 pm. Nothing beats the heat like a dark theater. We can’t mention the title, but how about joining us for an epic quest with lots of food (think Second breakfasts!).  Homemade ice cream will be on the menu. Registration required.

DIY Spray Paint T-Shirts
Thursday, July 25, 3-4 pm. Use duct tape and spray paint to create cool designs! Bring a t-shirt or embellish our tote bags. Registration required.

Party Appetizers
Wednesday, July 31, 3-4 pm. Make some easy, delicious appetizers to amaze your friends and family. All supplies and recipes are provided. Registration required.

Monsters and Manga
Thursday, August 1, 2-3:30 pm. Whether you are a novice artist or honing your comic skills, this is the program for you. A variety of techniques and tips for those who love graphic novels and manga provided. Registration required.
